DESCRIPTION OF PARTNER

Schule im Innerstetal is a public school for pupils aged 10-17. The school consists of 460 pupils and 35 teachers. The school is located in a rural area close to the main cities of northern Germany. The pupils learn English and French as a foreign language. We have two computer rooms fully equipped. There are quite a few migrants from Eastern European countries who have problems with the German language. The living standard of some students' families is low. Moreover there are many parents at our school that are divorced and unemployed. A lot of pupils have no reasonable activities in the afternoon, therefore they tend to cause problems like violence, using drugs etc. We have several mentally and physically disabled students who are integrated in regular classes (special needs students).   Every year students leave our school without a degree,  mainly due to the lack of motivation,  no family support and a dull professional perspective.
